David Daggett of Daggett Shuler, Attorneys At Law, competed in the Ironman Executive Challenge at Ironman USA in Lake Placid New York on Sunday, July 28th 2013. Daggett won the over 50 division of the Executive Challenge in a time of 11 hours, 20 minutes.
Attorney David Daggett, 53, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina has completed 166 triathlons including 22 Ironman competitions. For a seventh time he has qualified to compete in the Hawaii Ironman World Triathlon Championship to be held October 12, 2013 in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.
“I am so pleased to have qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii. It is such an exciting competition and truly an unparalleled physical and spiritual experience. I am looking forward to October!” Daggett said. The Hawaii World Triathlon Championship is an invitation only race, and Daggett’s first place finish in his age division in the Executive Challenge at the Ironman USA in Lake Placid has earned him a spot to compete in Hawaii.
By any measure, the Ironman presents the ultimate test of body, mind and spirit for professional and amateur athletes. An Ironman race consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run.
