The Annual Road Safety Day Held At West Forsyth High School Was a Huge Success

Road crashes are the leading cause of death in young people worldwide, and are a serious problem that is increasing across the nation. Schools play a key role in the educating students on road safety.

Each year Wake Forest – Baptist Health Group hosts The Annual Road Safety Day to bring awareness to the dangers of the road and inform students on road safety.

This year it was held at West Forsyth High School where community members, including our own David Daggett, gathered to raise awareness about this critical topic. Daggett Shuler is a proud supporter of the Annual Road Safety Day, and was excited to be able to join in on the fun.

This past week David Daggett got the chance to visit the students at West Forsyth High School twice, both times he was informing students about the importance of road safety. This years Road Safety Day was held on Friday April 21 at West Forsyth High School, where over 500 students gathered, getting the chance to talk to local officials and community members on road safety.

Daggett Shuler knows how crucial it is to bring awareness to the dangers of the road to students, and was thrilled to be able to tie this event in with their Safe Sober Prom Night speaker series, going on now.

This event was a huge success and we look forward to see what next year has in store for us and the community. Thank you to those who participated in the 2017 Road Safety Day!
