Please Help Fight Food Insecurity in Our Community by Supporting Your Local Food Bank

Food insecurity is a serious issue that affects a shocking number of families throughout northwest North Carolina. We can all do our part to help families that are struggling, and this mission is more important than ever during the Holiday Season.

Every year, the attorneys and staff at Daggett Shuler hold a Fall Food Drive to help support the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina. The Second Harvest Food Bank does such incredible work to reduce hunger and malnutrition in our region. We are honored to support their efforts to provide every struggling family in our community with a warm meal on Thanksgiving, and throughout the Holiday Season.

The number of people in need of food assistance in North Carolina may surprise you. One out of every six people in northwest North Carolina needs some form of food assistance every week, and more than one in four children in our region go to bed hungry every night. This is why it is so critically important to continue the fight against food insecurity.

David Daggett, Griff Shuler and Clyde Fitzgerald, the Executive Director of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, recently appeared on Triad Today to share important information on this very serious and troubling topic. You can watch the whole segment here:
